Captain Ralph J. Webb

     The Community College Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department provides law enforcement services for the nine college campuses of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD). The nine campuses include Los Angeles City College, East Los Angeles College, Harbor College, Trade Tech College, Southwest College, West Los Angeles College, Valley College, Pierce College, and Mission College. Each college campus has a Sheriff's Office which is staffed with L.A. County Sheriff Deputies and L.A. County Sheriff Security Officers. Additional assistance is provided by LACCD Cadets. This staffing provides 24 hour security coverage for all persons visiting and using any campus within the LACCD.

     Community College Bureau Headquarters is located in Los Angeles County, North of the 101 freeway. Community College Bureau provides police services to the Los Angeles Community College District. The Bureau’s jurisdiction is comprised of nine (9) colleges which are geographically miles apart from Harbor City to Simi Valley. The following college campuses fall within the jurisdiction of the Community College Bureau:

East Los Angeles College, Harbor College, Mission College, Los Angeles City College, Pierce College, Southwest College, Trade Tech College, Valley College, and West Los Angeles College.

History

     The Los Angeles Community College District Police merged with the Los Angeles Country Sheriff’s Department on January 21, 2001. The nine campuses, within Community College Bureau, are geographically miles apart and under the command of Captain Ralph J Webb. The offices are headquartered at Los Angeles City College.
