The Captain

District Cadets are full time students, employed by the Los Angeles Community College District. These student workers are assigned to assist the Sheriff's Department in their day to day activities. Duties include answering phones, writing parking violations, escorting students, locking / unlocking campus buildings, and operating our campus dispatch. Most cadets are utilizing these positions as a tool to evaluate the possibility of law enforcement as a career. The cadet position is valuable in that it utilizes students, giving the office a unique perspective on current student issues and concerns. Uniform: Blue / Blue
