JUAN RODRIGUEZ PROMOTED TO COMMANDER

Juan Rodriguez,
a 35-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department,
has been promoted to the rank of Commander by Sheriff Lee Baca, and
assigned to the Court Services Division. In
this position he will oversee the operations of the Court Services East,
Central and West Bureaus. In 1992, due to budget constraints, Pico Rivera Station was consolidated with Norwalk Station. Commander Rodriguez was appointed as the local station Commander at Pico Rivera Station. In 1997, he was promoted to Captain to assume command of Pico Rivera Station. Commander Rodriguez received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Management from Pepperdine University in 1977. He resides in Victorville where he and his wife, Olivia celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in June. They have four children: Olivia, Christine, John Michael and John Andrew. He enjoys spending time with his nine grandchildren and is eagerly awaiting one more, who is on the way. Commander Rodriguez also enjoys playing basketball, racquetball, baseball, and going to the movies. One of Commander Rodriguez’s favorite quotes is “For
