** CRDF is expanding our Public Visiting days**
CRDF now offers additional video visits for selective inmate housing locations only Monday through Friday. In the near future we will be expanding these video visits to all of our housing locations. The following video appointments are available now:
9:30 am / 10:30 am / 11:30 am / 12:30 pm
A maximum of two people are allowed per each inmate visiting session. Children count as a person, regardless of their age.
Children over the age of 14 required school identification, passport or California identification to gain access.
All visitors 18 years or older MUST have a valid identification (damaged, altered, expired I.D.'s are not valid).
Inmates are granted one visit per day and two visits a week. If a visitor misses their scheduled appointment, that counts as a visit against the inmate. Visitors who missed their scheduled appointment will be allowed to re-schedule their appointment for another day. They will not be allowed to re-schedule for the same day. Inmates are allowed only one visit, per visiting day.
Public visitors need to register (one time only) in order to make an appointment. Visitors can either register on-line @ https://visit.lasd.org or in person. We will not register anyone over the phone. Once a visitor is registered, they can make appointments on-line, in person or over the phone by calling 323-568-4520.
If the computer indicates that “no stations” are available that means we are booked for that day. On-line, visitors can book an appointment up to 7 days in advance. In person or over the phone, visitors can book an appointment up to 14 days in advance.
All potential visitors who have been previously convicted of a felony and confined in any state prison must submit an application to the unit commander requesting permission to enter the facility. Application can be obtain from our visiting counter.
If you are on parole you must submit a letter, with your application, from your parole officer indicating that he/she is giving you permission to visit an inmate at CRDF. The letter must indicate which inmate you are allowed to visit.
Once your application is received, the unit commander will responded to you in writing within 30 days.
In those cases where visiting privileges are denied, the reason(s) therefore will be documented, and the requesting party will be informed in writing of those reason(s).
Also all potential visitors on formal probation must have written prior approval from your probation officer granting you permission to visit at CRDF. The letter must indicate which inmate you are allowed to visit.
All visitors must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
All visiting appointments are subject to change as the operation and security of the facility is our first priority.
Dress code strictly enforced. Revealing clothing and/or gang affiliated attire NOT permitted.
Any visitor disrupting the visiting process, within the visiting areas, will be cancelled and asked to leave the area.
